Revelation 9:20-21 The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood – idols that cannot see or hear or walk. Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts.
I have been studying the end times more these days, I feel we are in them. Every time I get together with other Christians it comes up, someone asks “Do you think the end is near”? People are uneasy and worried. Ever since I started reading my Bible when I was born again, the words your generation pop out at me.
The verse above explains our generation so well. I saw a blog by a brother who lives in the city, he is trying so hard to reach his community and seems to become frustrated at times, which is understandable. I am attaching his blog and a video that he has on it and as you watch it, see the verses in Revelation come alive. Stone cold hearts unwilling to repent, their main goal to find happiness is having mansions, cars and women (idols) worshiping demons and following them in these ways, murders, sexual immorality, theft, and magic arts. Think of the shows on TV now, mediums are being widely accepted and people are having sex everywhere with anyone. Sex is a game, the player with the most partners wins.
In Matthew 24 it tells us to keep watch because we don’t know the day the Lord will come. Do we want to be found in bed being immoral? Do we want to be found drunk, high, or smoking? Do we want to be found making fun of somebody or gossiping?
God already knows when these things happen, but it seems worse and scarier if he finds us in these situations in person. I don’t want to be found doing these things. I want to be found thinking about Him, doing His work as He has set for me to do.
Do you produce good fruit everyday, every interaction? I believe producing good fruit isn’t shown in all cases from the outside, you can do something that is against God but in your heart you catch it and acknowledge it (repent) and try to do better with God’s help the next time. This is fruit which others can’t see, but God sees it very clearly.
Are you prepared for Him to come face to face with you? What will you be caught doing when He arrives?
